Biography

Edward was born in 1762.

Based on his will, Edward passed away between 20 Jan 1834 and 10 Feb1834. He leaves his estate to his wife Lucy, his children Reuben Brown, William Mills, William B Campbell. Also to Amos Rows and Amos Rows children (Milton B Rows, Eliza Rows, Washington Rows, Thomas Rows, Francis Rows, Grantham Rows, and Lucy An Rows), part coming to Mrs. Sarah Booth (John Wesley Alman, Jones R Alman, Catherine Alman, Lucy An Alman), daughter Sarah Booth mentioned again. Only son Reuben Brown of Monroe County and William Mills appointed executors of will. ^[1]

Original profile marriage information of Edward Brown to Lucy Ann Dobyns lists date as Jul 1834 in Elbert, GA, which is after Edward passed away. Marriage information removed and placed here. Ancestry file listed below lists them marrying in 1784 and 1798. The file also lists the husbands of daughters Catherine, Nancy and Lucy as Edward's children as well as having an extra Lucy. Caution should be used when connecting the Edward Brown who married a Lucy Ann Dobyns in 1798 to this Edward Brown who married a Lucy. There doesn't seem to be any sourcing on the same that proves the couple from Virginia is the same couple in Georgia. Lucy Ann Dobyns not changed at this time to "Lucy" only. If someone has any information verifying this, please add on this profile.
